My opinion on the ethical debate after reading and watching all of these resources is that as long as CRISPR is being used for the welfare of humanity and not being used for the wrong means, I think that it is not a big concern. After watching the videos on CRISPR Cas9 ethical debate I came to know that there are 3 types of viewpoints when it comes to the ethical debate. One is strongly opposed to using CRISPR for anything , the second viewpoint is all in support for CRISPR usage. The last opinion is neutral in that they believe as long as it is used for the welfare of humankind it is okay and once it is used for the wrong purposes which can hurt people then it is totally wrong. In addition to agreeing with the third viewpoint the most I also think that science is making advancements everyday and maybe one day CRISPR will be developed to a level where it can be used to edit reproductive cells but it is also safe to use on humans. And I like to be optimistic about stuff hence why the reason I didn't choose any of the extreme opinions on this issue.
